Helen King

Helen King is Professor of Classical Studies at The Open University. Helen King studied Ancient History and Social Anthropology at UCL, where she also gained PhD in History. She is a historian of medicine specialising in the history of obstetrics and gynaecology, and has worked at the universities of Cambridge, Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Reading, before joining the Open University in 2011. Helen King is also a Visiting Professor at the Peninsula Medical and Dental School in Truro.
